I took this photo in 1958 of High Street, from the window above the old pawn shop...
 looking toward St., Mary's Church...
 The sign for the the West End working men's club, next door is visible...
 I'm sure a few of you spent many "happy hours" in there. !!  
The Co-op building is beyond the sign and Timpson's shoe shop on the left.....
Taken from the same window... but towards the Railway station and pub...
 The old gas showroom is just past the two awnings on the right...
 The lady on the left is walking past Jim Bugby's fish shop....
