I don't know if you are all aware of the site " Hearts and Soles " being put together by the Rushden Heritage research group.. If you are interested in family tree information as I am.. or just the history of the area.. it is absolutely the best site I've found anywhere for searching for your roots.. There is a link on this site at "other links" It is mainly about Rushden, but also has information on some local villages.. I have just added a dozen or so photographs of USAF flyers.. Jim Berg and Ray "Doc" Kelly to my website.. oldstox, in the ' seniors in the sixties ' section.. It includes a group of USAF guys in full dress uniform and.. several of Jim's Chelveston buddies at the tracks and on the base.. Jim was kind enough to send me the images this week.. Dave Kipling... are hoping to start a heritage project on the social
history of people connected with our present building in
it's previous uses and forms and also the history of the
Full Gospel Church since 1935.. This will be an intergenerational project, where I want to link the youth of today.. with folks who have a history and story to tell us of the past days in Rushden.. |
